The play by the famous Italian playwright Dario Fo, which will be performed in Kurdish by a private theater on the stage of the IMM City Theaters in Gaziosmanpaşa today, was banned on the grounds that it could “disturb public order.”
IMM City Theaters decided to include 50 private theaters on their stages in October as support. Within the framework of this organization, the play called “Beru: Klakson, borizan, birt” was going to be represented by private theater actors called “Teatra Jiyana Nü” on Tuesday, October 13 at 8:30 p.m. in the IMM City Theaters Stage Gaziosmanpaşa. However, hours before the screening, the district governor banned the game.
“PERMANENTLY PROHIBITED”
In the letter sent to the Gaziosmanpaşa District Governorate by the Gaziosmanpaşa District Police Department, it was stated that the theatrical activity to be held could disrupt public order in general and said:: I hereby submit to your approval that the play called Klakson, borizan, birt ‘should be banned indefinitely in all open / closed areas within the boundaries of our Gaziosmanpaşa district.

Italian writer Dario Fo’s play “Faceless: Klakson, Trumpets and Trotters” was translated into Kurdish as “Berü: Klakson Borizan ü Birt” by Teatra Jiyana Nû and has been performed since 2017.
