In the image taken with a cell phone camera at the Bedir Efendi Hafiz Boarding Quran Course in the Elbistan district of Kahramanmaraş, a 15-year-old boy hits the hand of a 10-year-old boy with an object. The 15-year-old leaves the room while the boy cries. A judicial and administrative investigation was launched after the images were shared on social media.
The testimony of the 15-year-old was taken, who allegedly committed violence. The child victim of violence was taken in under the protection of the Provincial Directorate of Family, Work and Social Services. It was learned that the family living in Şanlıurfa enrolled the child in the Koran course for hafiz education, contacted the family, and the child would be handed over to the family.
On the other hand, the Qur’an Bedir Efendi Hafiz internship course was temporarily closed for 2 weeks. The students from the course were sent home. Students will continue their education on the Internet during this period.
It was learned that the two inspectors appointed by the President of Religious Affairs Ali Erbaş, who gave an investigation order immediately after the images appeared, will arrive in the city tomorrow and begin their investigations.
