The deputy commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Army, Ali Fedevi, reported that the murdered nuclear scientist Muhsin Fahrizade died as a result of the spinal column of the bullets that reached his waist, despite having 11 bodyguards during the incident.
At a ceremony at the University of Tehran, Fedevi revealed new details about Fahrizade’s murder, according to the Iranian Student News Agency (ISNA).
Stating that the murder was carried out with an automatic weapon that was placed in a truck on the road and remotely controlled using electronic systems, Fedevi said that no attackers were found at the scene.
Fedevi claimed that Fahrizade had 11 bodyguards at his side, and that the fire was opened with an automatic pistol mounted on a truck mounted 10-15 meters from the crime scene, hit his waist and broke his spine and lost his life .
Fedevi also said that the truck was detonated to destroy the automatic weapon after fire was opened.
Fedevi said they examined the weapon’s electronic circuitry and satellite systems of the remaining parts of the automatic weapon after the explosion to resolve the incident, saying: “There was no one at the scene. A total of 13 bullets were fired from the pistol. automatic placed in the truck. Fedevi did not share information on how many bullets hit Fahrizade’s body.
Fahrizade, one of the key figures in Iran’s nuclear program, was seriously injured in an armed attack on his vehicle in the Abserd district of the Demavend district of Tehran on Friday, November 27, and could not be rescued at the hospital where he was led.
Iranian government spokesman Ali Rebii said on Wednesday that those linked to Fahrizade’s murder have been identified and that they will take the necessary action if the investigation is concluded.
