The Interior Ministry sent a circular on “correctly informing contacts” to 81 provincial governorates.

In the Circular, they gave incomplete information on the contacts of patients diagnosed with coronavirus at the current stage (such as not giving correct information on contact persons working in the private sector due to financial concerns); In some cases, it was determined that people who were effectively not in contact (such as notifying public personnel as a contact for different reasons, although they were not contacted) were reported as contact persons and the following measures were requested:

With regard to the incomplete or misleading or false statements / notifications made by patients diagnosed with the Corona virus about the persons in contact, the Provincial / District Hygiene Boards decide on those involved in such acts, Article 206 of the Turkish Penal Code “falls in the public official who has the authority to issue an official document, the person making the statement will be sentenced to prison from three months to two years or a judicial fine. ”The necessary actions will be taken under the provision.

The District Governor / Governors will not cause interruptions in the implementation, and in the event that false, incomplete and misleading statements are detected, administrative action will be taken in accordance with the relevant articles of the General Hygiene Law.

The necessary legal procedures will be initiated in the area of ​​article 206 of the Turkish Penal Code in relation to criminal acts.
