In the statement, which emphasized that many measures were taken to prevent the spread of the epidemic and the threat of life with all state institutions, it was recalled that these measures were also shared with citizens.
In this context, it was noted that the precautions to be taken in public transport vehicles were determined and reported to the governorates, and it was noted that during the activities of commercial taxis, some risks arise in terms of social distance and personal hygiene measures. Due to the narrowness of the interior area and the use of these areas by many people during the day.
The circular reported that assessments were made with the relevant ministries to eliminate these risks, listing the measures that will be taken as a result of the outbreak.
Consequently, vehicles used as commercial taxi stops and commercial taxis will be cleaned and disinfected at regular intervals, at least once a week.
A document showing the vehicle disinfection date that the competent authority has submitted will be kept in the vehicle to present it when necessary. For this purpose, there will be a document that shows the date and who performed the procedure performed by the institution, organization, or cameras that perform vehicle disinfection.
Commercial taxi drivers will act in accordance with personal hygiene rules and will definitely wear a mask inside the vehicle. Commercial taxis will have disinfectant materials / products or an 80-degree cologne suitable for personal use, enough to be used by every customer who gets into the car during the day.
Drivers will inform the customer that they can use / use disinfectant or cologne as soon as they get in the taxi, and no more than three customers will be accepted at the same time.
Customers will not be able to ride commercial taxis without a mask, after each customer service, the places where customers can physically contact (door handle, window open button, seats, etc.) in the area / stop they will be cleaned / disinfected and the interior of the vehicle will be ventilated.
The necessary information and instructions will be made by professional cameras and operators so that the taxi fare can be paid through contactless payment methods (such as credit cards, mobile applications) that do not require physical contact.
In the circular, the Ministry asked the district governors / governors to make the necessary decisions promptly in accordance with articles 27 and 72 of the General Sanitary Law, and to avoid any problem in practice.
The necessary coordination will be carried out with the law enforcement units, local administrations, professional chambers and relevant officials of the unit / institution regarding the measures. These measures will be effectively monitored by the traffic police.
