An investigation was launched against actor Nejat İşler for “praising the crime and criminal” for a tweet he posted about the attempted military coup on July 15.

According to Milliyet’s report, one person informed the Istanbul Police Department about İşler.
In the ad, İşler’s social media account Twitter on July 16, 2016 read: “Emir is coming. You go to the Bosphorus Bridge. They cut off your head and call you a traitor. Orders arrive. You’re going east You’re dying They say martyrs, ”and people like Nejat İşler shared posts to provoke the public and support the division of the country.
Following notification of this notice to the Istanbul Prosecutor General’s Office, the prosecution launched an investigation against İşler for the crime of “praising the crime and the criminal”.
As a result of the investigation carried out for the determination of the suspect, the Prosecutor’s Office stated that his address was the Bodrum district of Muğla province and that the investigation procedures were outside the jurisdiction of the Istanbul Prosecutor General’s Office and sent the file to Bodrum Attorney General with the decision of “lack of authority”
