Chancellor Luigi di Maio stated in a television program he attended that the new strain of Covid-19 could increase the contamination rate by 0.5 percent.
On the other hand, Italy suspended air traffic with England until January 6 due to the new type of Covid-19 discovered in England, people who were in the UK within 14 days were banned from entering Italy and transit from the UK.
