After the ‘Miss Uganda’ pageant, which was held at an entertainment venue in Esenyurt and violated corona virus measures, police teams raided an entertainment hosted by foreign nationals at 02:00.
The teams of the Directorate of the Public Security Branch of the Esenyurt District Police Department came to the information that the entertainment was organized by violating the corona virus measures in an alcoholic place in the district. Evaluating the information received, police teams raided the place. In the raid, police teams carried out passport checks on foreigners who were at the entertainment venue.
In the raid, it was determined that people at the entertainment venue violated corona virus measures and failed to comply with the mask and social distance rule. In addition, it became known that among the contestants and guests who participated in the ‘Miss Uganda’ pageant, which was organized in violation of the measures against the corona virus, there were foreign nationals at the entertainment venue.
A total of 60,300 lira fines were fined by police teams to 67 people at the scene. While the owner of the entertainment venue was detained, a fine of TL 3,180 was imposed. Foreigners who left the nightspot after the raid returned home by taxi.
