The 7-year-old Umut’s funeral was reached. Wanted 3-year-old Elif. GEA coordinator Umut Dinçşahin explained what happened after the earthquake as follows:

HOPE AND WORK TOGETHER

“As the works continued, a sound was said to have been heard from the Doğanlar apartment around 03:00. We started working here. We found a void in the rubble in the first 30 minutes. We step into the void and listen to the sound. There was a noise inside, there was a click. We coordinate with the Istanbul Fire Department. All members of our team worked on the rubble at 15-20 minute intervals. Seher Hanım’s wife, who was under the rubble, was describing her house to us. First we find the sofa in his house, then the furniture and finally the console. Ms. Seher was alive under the rubble with her children.

‘YOU CAN SAVE US’

Mrs. Seher could give a voice. He was brave and strong. He said he could contact his children. He waited without complaint. He asked, ‘Can you save us? He waited with great hope. We worked 10 hours under the rubble. We finally managed to reach them. The most important rule of thumb for surviving under debris is to never let go. Do not despair. If hope and work come together, rescue efforts can be made. Here too, hope and work were together. “

NEVER LEFT HIS CHILDREN

Cem Behar, one of the GEA team, explained what happened under the rubble as follows: “We spoke with Oğuz Bey, Ms. Seher’s wife who was under the rubble. He described where they might be. We found a void and entered the building. When I first contacted Ms Seher, I said, ‘Wait, I’m Cem from GEA. We came looking for you, ‘I yelled. He answered. It was in good condition. He said he communicated with his children. He always tried to give them morale. ‘Everything will be fine. We will go to the hospital soon. Your father is waiting for us outside. We will go with him, ‘he said. We were able to locate them after 10 hours. When we were going to rotate, we would leave the tunnel and leave our place to our friends. I was informing Ms. Seher of all these changes. He said that a new team would start working and that we would contact him. He was addressing us as ‘Brother Cem, İbrahim Abi’. We were very close in the last 3-4 hours of our study. Ezel, one of the twins, was in very good condition. He told us about distance education. He said that he did not go to school and that they talked to his friends online. He said he missed his friends. ”
