Clashes broke out on the front line between Armenia and Azerbaijan after Armenian forces opened fire on Azerbaijani civilian settlements.
According to the statement made by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, the Armenian army made extensive provocations along the front line around 06:00 and opened fire on Azerbaijani army positions and civilian settlements with cannons, artillery and mortars at big scale.

In the statement, it was reported that the villages of Gapanlı from Terter, Çıraklı and Orta Garvand from Ağdam, Alhanlı and Şükürbeyli from Fuzuli and Çocuk Mercanlı from Cebrayıl were killed and wounded by civilians as a result of heavy bombardment by the Armenian army. It was reported that the civil infrastructure in these areas was also seriously damaged.
It was reported that civilian and military losses were clarified, and the Azerbaijani army took retaliatory measures to avoid enemy provocation and to ensure the safety of people living in areas close to the front.
