President Erdoğan met with Health Minister Koca, who conducted the examinations in the Tekirdağ laboratory, where the study of the domestic vaccine on Covid-19 was carried out, through the method of videoconference.
“IT HAS REACHED THE HUMAN STAGE”
Minister Koca briefed President Erdogan at the meeting and used the following statements:
* I want to share good news with you.
* Especially if you know that there were around 13 trials of the Covidien-19 vaccine in Turkey. One of these vaccines was successfully completed yesterday’s animal study of a vaccine in which our professor Aykut Özdarendeli, supported by Erciyes University and our Ministry, has been working for months.
* The preclinical study was completed in this way. I would like to announce that you have reached the stage of human labor.
Explaining the vaccination studies in animals in detail, Koca said: “I would like to say that one of the 13 vaccines, whose studies are ongoing, is the first vaccine to successfully complete the phase we call challenge in transgenic animals.”
Minister Koca, again Prof. Dr. He pointed out that the preclinical studies of the second vaccine in which Aykut Özdarendeli worked were completed and the animal study phase was reached as the second vaccine.
“WE WILL PASS IN 10 DAYS TO THE HUMAN EXPERIMENT PHASE STUDY”
Stating that the third inactivated vaccine study was also completed, Koca said:
* As you know, the Hakan Hoca adenovirus study is in doubt at Ankara University.
* In this regard, they requested TÜSEB and our ministry of clinical studies. We decided to support that study as well.
* As the fifth vaccine, studies on the vaccine Osman Hodja developed with Mustafa Hodja at Selcuk University continue.
* We will support that study in the initial period, when the results are completed successfully.
* In summary, we will have passed the human trial phase study of three vaccines within the next week, 10 days.
ERDOĞAN: CONGRATULATIONS
President Erdogan congratulated the team working on the vaccine and said:
* We congratulate you, I would like to express my gratitude to all my friends on behalf of myself and my nation.
* I hope that we will put them into production in a short time, and with this production we will start the process of making the vaccine for humans.
* From now on, we seriously reduce the number of our patients and secure our future with these vaccines, which we believe will be a source of cure.
ERDOĞAN HAS BEEN SHOWN IN THE INJECTOR OF THREE VACCINES
Minister Koca said he would then show President Erdogan the injector shape of the three vaccines and present them in the presidential cabinet to be held on Monday.
