Fahrettin Koca, who shared his account on social media after his meetings with the governors of Izmir, Trabzon, Hatay and Samsun, provincial health directors and heads of public health, stated that the number of daily cases of corona virus in these provinces has decreased and drew attention to the high burden in hospitals and intensive care units.
According to the data shared by Minister Koca, the decrease in the number of cases in 4 provinces, bed occupancy and intensive care occupancy rates are as follows:
- There has been a 30% decrease in the number of cases in Izmir in the last week. The bed occupancy rate is 57%, the intensive care occupancy rate is 77%.
- The number of cases fell 25% in Trabzon. The bed occupancy rate is 52%, the intensive care occupancy rate is 72%.
- A 35% decrease in the number of cases was observed in Samsun. The bed occupancy rate is 62%, the intensive care occupancy rate is 80%.
- In Hatay, the number of cases decreased by 40%. Bed occupancy was recorded as 85% and intensive care occupancy as 77%.
Minister Koca stressed the high patient burden in Samsun and Hatay and called for action in all provinces.
