After images of a person taking a milk bath at a milk factory in Konya were shared on TikTok, there was a huge backlash on social media.
After the incident, the facility was closed on the instruction of the Konya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. The Office of the Attorney General of the Nation initiated an investigation against the person who bathed and took the image.
Milk will be destroyed
After images of the worker working at the milk collection center in Konya while bathing with milk in the boiler were posted on social media, the workplace was closed by order of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests.
Konya Agriculture and Forestry Manager Ali Ergin stated that they took legal action against 4 people over the workplace and said:
“Unfortunately, today is an event that saddens us. There was a picture of a person taking a milk bath at a milk collection unit posted on social media. Our Minister Dr. We came here for an inspection on the instructions of Bekir Pakdemirli. We did our inspection together with our food inspection teams. We determine the place published on social networks. We will act on four issues related to this. First, we will impose an activity ban according to clause ‘e’ of article 41 of Law No 5996 for emergency situations that put human health at risk. Second, we will impose a fine of TL 13,934. Third, a criminal complaint will be filed with the Public Ministry for putting people’s health at risk. Fourth, we will carry out an implementation in the form of destruction of existing milk and cancellation of commercial approval documents. We prohibit the business from operating as of today. We revoke the approval certificates and we will file a criminal complaint with the prosecution. We do not and will not allow the milk produced in Konya to be wasted in this way. ”

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced that the milk factory in Konya, where an employee entered the milk boiler and bathed, was detained.
In the written statement made by the Ministry, the following statements were made:
“As it was determined that the workplace represented a danger to human health and safety, the products were seized and the operation of the company was suspended during the audit. TL 1,700 for 2 employees due to lack of hygiene certificates and 13 thousand 934 TL for violating the hygiene requirements of Law No. 5996, an administrative fine of 5 thousand 570 TL was imposed for non-compliance with the requirements to keep records “

Ali Osman T., one of the partners of the company, stated that he also saw the scandalous images on the Internet and was surprised. Stating that the bath fluid is not milk, Ali Osman T. said:
“First of all, it is a sad situation. The little tank this person is in is not for milk. The tank used for cleaning the facility, in which we mix detergents, solutions and disinfectants. In it we mix cleaning materials and clean the tiles. We were also surprised. We saw this video on the internet. We begin the related dismissal process. We believe this was done specifically to wear down the company. We also complain about the theme of the video. There is milk in the tank. The milk will be thick. Cleaning agent mixed with water. ”
