Ukrainian Anna Butim (28) was attacked in a shopping center in Bakırköy on January 15 by her husband, who was in the process of divorce. Butim was hospitalized after being injured as a result of injuries to his face. As a result of studies carried out by police teams, the suspect Mesut Öztürkmen was captured and detained. It turned out that the suspect was also booked for attempted suicide and threats. Mesut Öztürkmen was arrested and sent to prison by the fair authorities after his actions at the police station.

Butim, who had deep wounds on his face, said: “My ex-husband did it. I filed for divorce. He threatened me. He said he would kill me. I didn’t know my address. My sister came to see me. We post a photo on Instagram. There was only light. We do not write where we are. He saw it on Instagram. He waited two days at the mall. We go back there. We sat there, ”he said.

Butim expressed that he was very scared and said: “We were looking out to sea. There were also many people behind us. He came running up behind. He grabbed my hair, cut my face off. He wanted to kill me. It didn’t get up my neck. We hired him with my sister. Maintained security. Don’t let him come see me yet. I want him put in jail. Because I am very afraid, ”he said.
