Akşener received information about the rescue efforts from AFAD and non-governmental organizations.
Akşener later said in a statement:
* Today, as time is competing, we only see it, we say get well soon, you ask for patience, see what is and what is not, and we return. We come and return to inform ourselves that we are here, with our friends and citizens.
* I thank all my brothers and sisters who work in search and rescue, I thank everyone who contributed. After that, the gaps are noted. Within the Assembly, the necessary things are done to eliminate these deficiencies and gaps.
* Members of the press more or less know my principles, that’s all I have to say. Thank you for your interest, I tell you to recover soon again, thank you to all of Izmir, our friends and citizens.
