Meral Akşener, Chairman of the IYI Party, inaugurated the park named after his brother Nihat Gürer, who passed away three years ago and was built by the Çiğli municipality of the CHP in Izmir, where he had several contacts.
AKŞENER BROKE IN TEARS
Akşener, who attended the inauguration without knowing that the park was named after her brother, burst into tears when she saw her brother’s photo.
Akşener said: “My brother was a good and conscientious person. Therefore, I will never forget the name given to a place where children can have fun and play. I offer my deepest thanks to all who have contributed.
Later, Akşener rocked the children playing in the park on a swing, chatted with citizens and took photos.
Çiğli Mayor Utku Gümrükçü, İYİ Party Group Vice Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu, İYİ Party Vice Chairman Koray Aydın, İYİ Provincial Party Chairman Hüsmen Kırkpınar, and party members also attended the opening ceremony.
