The advisory committee of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned that people who had cosmetic facial fillers may experience swelling and inflammation when receiving the Moderna vaccine.
Warning from the US-based committee ABC7Expert dermatologist Dr. Shirley Chi noted the following:
“In these cases, all patients had swelling and inflammation in the area where the filling was performed. Six months before vaccination, a few patients were given cheek fillers and one patient received lip fillers two days after vaccination. All were treated with steroids and antihistamines and all reactions resolved. “
Noting that millions of people apply cosmetic facial fillers to correct their fine lines, wrinkles and heal their cheeks and lips, Chi claimed that the reaction to the vaccine is immunological and used the following statements:
“It makes sense that certain areas of the body that encounter the unnatural substance give an immune response. Do not avoid getting vaccinated because of the side effects that medical personnel can easily treat.”
