Kupeli, who was later found to have posted insulting messages to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his social media account, was arrested and sent to Kozan Prison. Küpeli was sentenced to a total of 8 years and 3 months in prison for “threatening”, “insulting” and “violating the privacy of private life”. Erdogan Kupeli, who started working in a local newspaper distribution business in the district after his release, shot Tugba Keleş, and many health and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
Tuğba Keleş and Erdoğan Küpeli were taken to the hospital by ambulances. Keleş could not save himself despite all the interventions. Erdoğan Küpeli, who was being treated, was reportedly unable to survive the death threat.
