Leyla Güven, a former deputy of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), who was sentenced to 22 years and 3 months in prison, was detained in Diyarbakır.

Güven’s trial on the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) Operation Olive Branch in Syria’s Afrin region and his speeches at the meetings he previously attended were held yesterday (December 21) at the Ninth Court Diyarbakır Higher Prison.

Leyla Güven, who was dismissed as a deputy, was sentenced to 22 years and 3 months in prison in the trial that was tried in Diyarbakır in the framework of the “terrorist investigation”.

THE DEPARTMENT HAS BEEN REDUCED

Leyla Güven, a former HDP Hakkari MP, was sentenced to 6 years and 3 months in prison for “belonging to an armed terrorist organization” in another case in which she was tried by the Second Higher Criminal Court of Diyarbakır. The decision was confirmed by the 16th Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court. At the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the memoranda of the Presidency on the final judgments handed down by the court on HDP’s Güven were read and presented for information on June 4. Güven’s deputy was withdrawn after the motion in the General Assembly.
