Lawyer Aytaç Ünsal, who has been fasting for 212 days demanding a fair trial, wrote an open letter to Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu.
In his letter, Ünsal responded to Soylu, who reacted by posting the photograph of the lawyer Ebru Timtik, who died on the 238th day of the death fast, which he entered with the same request.

Stating that he was referring to Prosecutor Selim Kiraz, although he knew that Soylu’s name was not even on the record, Ünsal continued his letter as follows:
“You’re trying to make an impact. You openly lie to repress those who possess it. True, they have nothing to do with lying. They have nothing to do with conspiracy!
Ebru Timtik’s brother, lawyer Barkın Timtik, was unable to attend the funeral for the gendarmerie affiliated with you in prison. My accompanying father and mother have been in prison with me in the hospital cell for weeks. Such persecution is carried out against mothers, brothers and spouses. It is true that the honorable lawyers have nothing to do with this cruelty. Where is this cruelty in Anatolia? Where is the lie, the conspiracy, the terror?
Who has such values in Yunus Emre, Pir Sultan, Dadaloğlu and Köroğlu?
Attorney Ebru Timtik and honorable lawyers fighting for justice represent righteousness, truth and justice. And no matter how strong you are physically today, you are really only a handful. I realize you are experiencing panic from this.
