In the last minute … 45 suspects were arrested in an operation against drug traffickers in 11 districts of Fatih and Diyarbakır in Istanbul and a tunnel 30 meters deep was found.
Teams from the Istanbul Anti-Narcotics Crimes Division identified 55 suspects in the study they started to catch drug traffickers, known as “baggers.”
With the support of the special operations police, the teams, which conducted simultaneous operations in 51 directions with 500 police officers in 11 districts of Fatih and Diyarbakır, detained 45 suspects.
Helicopters also supported the operation, while drone incursions were discovered.
30 meters deep and has two entrances
Police teams raided a house in the Balat neighborhood and found no suspect inside. As a result of their investigations, the teams found a tunnel about 30 meters deep in the house with two entrances.
The special operations police, who climbed one part of the tunnel, could not advance because the remaining part was filled with water.
