According to the statement made by the Kandilli Observatory Earthquake Research Institute and AFAD, an earthquake with a size of 4.7 and a depth of 5 km occurred in Malatya / Pütürge.
The earthquake was felt in neighboring provinces such as Adıyaman, Hatay, Elazığ, Kayseri, Adana and Tunceli.
By early estimates, there was no loss of life or property in the earthquake that caused a short-term panic.

Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Selahattin Gürkan said: “My guess was that the earthquake lasted about 10 seconds. There was no negative situation that reached us. There is damage to some wooden houses.”
