Member of the Scientific Committee Prof. Dr. Tevfik Özlü answered Uğur Önver’s questions on the program ‘Under the Lens’ broadcast on CNN Türk.
Ugur ONV is asked how to do the vaccination in Turkey. Prof. Dr. spoke as follows on the succinct question:

WHEN WILL THE TURKISH PEOPLE BEGIN THE FIRST VACCINE?
I cannot give an exact date, but the Minister had previously announced that the examination and testing process will take between 10 and 15 days. The tests are carried out on incoming vaccine samples. These tests are said to take two to three weeks. I think the vaccination will start as soon as the tests are completed. Planning goes in that direction.
WHY ARE THE FORCES OF THE ARM NOT IN THE FIRST CATEGORY?

Now this order is really similar to the practice in the world. In other words, the ranking forecast for our country is the same as in many countries in the world. Law enforcement officers will also be vaccinated in the second stage. If you consider that around 2 million people will be vaccinated per day in Turkey, it seems that they will move to the second stage in a very short period of time.
VACCINE PROTECTIVITY 91.25%
Very good protection rate. This is the protection that appears in those tested so far. There are predictions that this protection rate will increase even more in long-term follow-up.
WHY DIDN’T CHINA EXPLAIN?
It’s easy to answer that. Because when the phase 3 study started, the epidemic was over in China. A certain number of infections is required for this phase 3 study to be completed. For example, 15 thousand people will be involved in Turkey. There are no cases left in China. It cannot work because the infection has stopped. The disease must continue in order for you to work. ”
