Görkem Öner, son of retired nurse Hatice Tusu, who disappeared in Didim on Saturday, submitted a disappearance request to the police. Tusu’s car was found 2 blocks behind his home. It was determined that Tusu’s mobile phone was also in the vehicle’s glove compartment. Teams from the District Police Department launched an investigation into the incident. Applying the testimony of those who knew Tusu, the police detained Suat Aksoy, who was said to have had a relationship with the retired nurse for a time. Aksoy was released after his statement.
To further the investigation, police teams examined the security camera records of hundreds of homes and workplaces nearby. Police, who also examined Mobese’s records, determined that Hatice Tusu last met with her ex-boyfriend Aksoy. Aksoy was arrested a second time.

In his statement, Suat Aksoy said that he met the Hatice Tusu one last time and put him in his own car, and when he was unable to persuade him to meet again, he squeezed his body and buried his body in the swamp. It was revealed that Aksoy got into Hatice Tusu’s car after the murder and parked two streets behind his house and left after cleaning his fingerprints.
Hatice Tusu’s body was reached with work done in the region in line with Aksoy’s statement. While Tusu’s body was sent to the morgue for an autopsy, Aksoy, who was sent to court after procedures at the police station, was arrested by the court he was taken to.
