Latest news … These are the highlights of President Erdogan’s statements:

‘WE STARTED 350 NEW PROJECTS IN 5 YEARS’

I would like to express my gratitude to all who have been at Aselsan since its establishment, working and contributing to our country’s defense industry.
The date 1975 is the year after the Cyprus landing. Our country has entered a new era with the activation of Aselsan after the operation. In the intervening years, our defense industry has not progressed as fast as we want. When we came to government, one of the areas we prioritized was the strengthening of the defense industry. We continue our work towards a fully independent Turkey for 18 years in the defense industry. Today, the Turkish defense industry has a vast ecosystem from founding companies to the private sector, from subcontractors to SMEs. Thus, while 62 defense projects were carried out in 2002, today about 700 projects have been approved. We have started around 350 new projects in the last 5 years. We have increased the budget for our defense industry projects from $ 5.5 billion to $ 60 billion.

‘WE ARE IN THE FIRST 3-4 COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD IN THE PRODUCTION OF UAV, SUN AND WAVE’

The number of companies operating in the sector has increased from 56 to 1500. Their turnover, which was one billion, reached 11 billion dollars. We are represented by 7 companies in the list of the top 100 defense companies in the world. Only 5 of our companies have made this list in the last 5 years. We have become a country that meets the needs of friendly and allied countries together with us in land and sea vehicles. We are among the top 3-4 countries in the world in UAV, SİHA and TİHA production. Today, Turkey and all the challenges that the embargo has become a global provider of the country’s interests can overcome its own power. We can comfortably carry out our counter-terrorism operations and we can carry out peace operations however we want. We not only fix the shortcomings of the past and prepare for the present, we also embrace the future. Battle management of your ships? We are developing. Unmanned land vehicle? We produce. Artificial intelligence systems? We are working.

‘CANADA APPLIED BOTH, WE PRODUCED NEW IN ASELSAN’

Unfortunately, Canada has placed an embargo on the camera we use in some of our UAVs due to the support we have provided to our Azerbaijani brothers lately. At ASELSAN, we produce new ones, connect them to our UAVs and continue on our way. We started the project to make it even better with the same cameras: ASELSAN, which was established after the Cyprus Peace Operation, continues its activities in a very wide area as a global company. There are many topics ranging from communication, radar, electronic chart, security, weapon and missile defense systems, autonomous unmanned vehicles, platforms, ammunition, next-generation artificial intelligence systems, energy technologies, transportation and health. ASELSAN, which demonstrates the power of our country by launching patented products that have achieved many firsts on a global scale, makes us proud. At the point we have reached, while continuing to mass-produce the productions in inventory together with its subcontractors and stakeholders, ASELSAN continues to win new systems for our security forces. Today we also deliver one of the new systems. The Caracal High Frequency Shorthand Listening System is now ready for use. Today, we are delivering the new ones to our Korkut low altitude air defense weapons system, which is still in the TSK inventory. Besides airplanes and helicopters, it also works most effectively for vehicles such as air-to-ground missiles, cruise missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles. With the 35mm ammunition called Atom, our country has gained a capacity that few countries in the world have. On the other hand, we produce new generation products in line with the needs of our security forces in the field. We also delivered our next generation Koral system today. I congratulate our Defense Industry Directorate and ASELSAN for the delivery and production of the new projects that we have started and the new projects that we have delivered.

HEARTS OF PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN

Latest news: important statements by President Erdogan

Let’s deliver good news from Roketsan. We said we were now in a space league. I would like to say once again that we have once again illuminated the darkness of space thanks to our national technology. Our fully national satellite launch tests were successfully completed. In these tests, we reached space 4 times. I hope that we continue to confront our nation with the good news of new achievements in all fields. As our beloved nation, our heroic soldiers fight for their lives in the field, our greatest support will be to advance the defense industry. We can never tolerate supplying products that we can produce from abroad.
Our first priority is to use the limited resources we have to develop and strengthen our own defense industry. The defense industry in the world plays a locomotive role in the development of all other technologies. Therefore, each investment we make in the field of spark plugs will contribute much more to the development of the country. Hopefully, we will achieve our goals as soon as possible by further enhancing the harmony and cooperative exchange between our institutions in the defense industry. From now on, we will continue to provide all kinds of support to the defense industry with increasing force. We want our presidency of the defense industry and our ministries and institutions to work more closely. The cooperation of all public and private institutions that contribute to the development of the defense industry is also important in terms of efficiency in R&D. It is imperative that not only the technology but also the investments are planned correctly and waste is avoided. of resources. In this context, purchases made outside the coordination of our Presidency of the Defense Industry must be made with an evaluation according to the available possibilities. If each institution sets aside the expertise of our defense industry presidency and tries to supply its own products, duplication and waste become inevitable. I find it beneficial for our Presidency of the Defense Industry to improve their ability to make quick decisions, supply and deliver. More resources should be allocated especially to technology development activities.
