In the incident that occurred yesterday in Bilecik, Onur Acar opened fire on his wife Cemile Nur Acar and his father-in-law, Abdullah Acar, who are in the stage of divorce, with a shotgun when they went to court. The murder suspect, Onur Acar, said he was arrested for two unlicensed rifles seized during a search at his home following a complaint when he had a fight with his wife Cemile Nur and was released 5 days ago. Claiming that he had run away and married his wife a year and a half ago, Acar said he made peace with his wife’s family after the elders intervened. Acar said: “Many times I caught my wife texting with other people. That’s why I broke their phones. Later, my father-in-law and mother-in-law asked for our gold, which was stuck at our wedding, as a loan, and they bought a car with that money. When I later wanted to recover this debt, they did not give me my money. One day I saw that Cemile was writing to her father on his cell phone and her father wrote her ‘why are you still standing my daughter, come here?’. I grabbed the phone and hit the wall angrily. The same day the gendarmerie was called and I gave a statement for ‘damaging property’. Again, we continue our normal life with Cemile. I even opened a tailor shop in Cemile and bought a new phone. After a while, I saw him talking to someone on the phone again. I asked Cemile who she was talking to and she fell silent. Annoyed, I threw the phone at Cemile’s head. I grabbed Cemile’s throat in anger, slammed her head against the wall, and threw her out of the house. That night, the gendarmerie came to the house with a complaint and made a search. While searching the house, he found 1 rifle and an unlicensed 8 + 1 pistol from the Black Sea. I had the third rifle that I bought from the website at my place, they couldn’t find it. When he found that it didn’t work, he went to the game dealer and fixed the problem. I also left the rifle as a business. My father-in-law cursed me in the hallway of the courthouse and said, ‘If you were a man, you would look at my daughter and speak like a man.’ I asked if there was no way we could make it up to Cemile. He said ‘no’. Then I agreed to divorce. Nor did she go near him. I said I wanted to see my son. My father-in-law said ‘okay, we’ll show your son, give me his number.’ I left the courthouse and bought the rifle my father-in-law gave me before the trial. Cemile and my father-in-law left the court and went down to the Cumhuriyet square, I wanted to go talk to them. When we meet face to face, ‘Can’t you say anything daddy? How am I going to pay off so much debt? Said. He said, ‘You bought your rifle, go and go.’ Then he cursed saying your manhood. In a nervous state, I shot towards the ground before 6-7 meters.
