Arrest warrants were issued for 66 people, 48 of whom were active, in the operation against the crypto-structuring of the Fetullah Terror Organization (FETÖ) within the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) in 28 İzmir-based provinces.

In the framework of the investigation carried out by the Izmir Prosecutor General’s Office against the crypto-structuring of FETO within the Turkish Armed Forces, an investigation was launched in order to capture 66 suspects, 48 ​​of whom were active, who allegedly interviewed the executives of the terrorist organization, who are described as “private imams” of the organization, through public telephones or buffet-style telephones.

Simultaneous operations were carried out in 28 provinces based in Izmir.

It was known that 19 of the 66 suspects arrested were non-commissioned officers from the Land Forces, 18 from the Air Force, 24 from the Gendarmerie, 2 from the Coast Guard and 3 from the Naval Forces Command, 48 of whom are still in service. .

It was reported that Captain Ç.E, who served as Commander of the Foça District Gendarmerie in the operation, was also detained.
