In the Kınık district of Izmir, the market trader Mustafa Kocabıyık (55) murdered his wife Nergüzel Kocabıyık (50) and their daughter Melike Kocabıyık (22) with a knife.
According to the DHA report, Mustafa Kocabıyık, who resigned after serving as a specialist sergeant for 3 years and began negotiating, called the gendarmerie around 10.30 today and said that he killed his wife and daughter. Upon notification, the gendarmerie teams went to the family’s house on the top floor of the two-story building on Poyracık Mahallesi Park Avenue, and found Nergüzel Kocabıyık in the kitchen and his daughter Melike Kocabıyık in her room stabbed and killed.

Mustafa Kocabıyık, who was smoking on the balcony, was arrested. “Why do not you kill me?” It was known that he screamed. After investigations at the scene, the lifeless bodies of the mother and daughter were sent to the morgue of Kınık State Hospital. The gendarmerie launched an investigation.
