Fıstıklı Village Chief Mehmet Karasu said: “We started the harvest at the beginning of this year. Those who completed the pine nut harvest from other regions came to our region to collect pine nuts. We hired 2 guards and started a surveillance. The guards watched the pine nuts in the forests for 1 month. This region is the pasture of our village. We started to harvest by investing the money of the product as much as we can collect, harvesting peanuts is very hard work, we face death at any time .

Currently, the price per kilogram is 6 lira 50 kuruş. 4 or 5 of the cones weigh 1 kilogram. From 1 ton of cones 80 kilos of peanuts come out.
