President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced new bans after the cabinet meeting. In stating that the new regulation has been introduced for those over 65 and under 20, Erdogan used the following statements;
* The most important point of the meeting was the increase in the coronavirus. We announced new measures last week.
* We are well aware of the problems caused by the measures we have taken. The fact that the number of cases has reached thirty thousand shows that we all need to be more careful and patient.
* Except for the exceptions specified in the circular, people over 65 or under 20 may not use public transport.
* The general sanitation boards will take the necessary measures to eliminate the interruptions in public transport that cause the spread of the epidemic.
THE STREET RESTRICTION HAS ARRIVED
With a recently issued circular, the Interior Ministry prohibited citizens aged 65 and over from leaving outside certain hours. According to the circular that will be valid throughout the country, citizens aged 65 and over can only leave between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Likewise, citizens under the age of 20 were also prohibited from going out outside of certain hours. People under the age of 20, who cause the spread of the virus, can only go out between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
