Rescuers heard a girl’s voice under the rubble at 56 o’clock from Emrah’s apartment, where search and rescue efforts continue in Izmir’s Bayraklı district.
The teams sped up their work and reached 14-year-old İdil Şirin at hour 58. After the first intervention, İdil Şirin was taken to hospital by ambulance.
AFAD President Mehmet Güllüoğlu said: “Thank God a thousand times. İdil left at hour 58 ”.
The search for 3 people in total continues, along with İdil Şirin’s 8-year-old sister and 2 other people who are estimated to be under the rubble.
So far, 29 people have been reached at Emrah’s apartment, 14 of whom were transferred alive.

The Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, which was involved in the rescue efforts, said: “Emrah’s apartment building wrecked 14-year-old İdil and our team made contact with the wreckage. Our team’s work for İdil, which was expected to be in good health, took 2.5 hours meticulously. Our prayers are with İdil and our souls under the rubble ”.
