Last minute… Metrobus accident in Istanbul: 4 injured

The accident occurred around 7.30 pm in the direction of the Avcılar stop of the Merter bus. Apparently, a bus approaching the station crashed into another bus from behind.

Many firefighters, police officers and medical teams were dispatched to the scene after informing passengers at the stop that they saw the accident. According to preliminary determinations, 4 people were injured in the accident. The injured were taken by ambulances to surrounding hospitals.

Although trips were interrupted due to the accident, there was a heavy traffic on the D-100 highway. Flights on the metrobus and traffic density on the D-100 returned to normal after approximately 1 hour.

“THE ACCIDENT HAS BEEN OVER RAIN”

The Istanbul Electric Tram and Tunnel Operations General Directorate (IETT) issued a statement about the accident.

In the IETT statement, the following was stated:

* There was an accident at the Merter station of the metrobus line due to heavy rains.

* In the accident, 4 passengers were slightly injured, their first treatment was carried out in the called ambulance, and 1 passenger was transferred to the Cerrahpaşa University School of Medicine and it was known that his condition was good.

* There is no vital danger to our passengers. DHA
