“Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus epidemic affecting our country and the world, we unfortunately did not have the opportunity to receive you at the Presidential Complex this year. Both our ambassadors and our presidential advisers are here together. I wish you good luck.
“WE HAVE NOT FALLEN INTO THE TRAP I WANTED TO LEAD”
Our ambassadors also had to fight the coronavirus epidemic. This epidemic, which killed 1.3 million people, has brought many distortions that were covered up. We have seen how economically strong countries and social security systems are weak. We did not fall into the trap that the opposition wanted to get us into.
We manage the process using the advantages of the Presidential Government System. Nor do we leave our people abroad unattended. With your extraordinary efforts, we have extended a helping hand to our citizens who are in trouble abroad. We carried out the largest evacuation operation in the history of the Republic, reuniting more than 100,000 citizens with their families. Eager to return to their homeland from Turkey, 38,000 foreigners have also offered support. We support 155 countries and 9 international organizations that requested help from our country. We did it as a requirement of our belief, our culture.

For us it is important that the Coordination and Support Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs becomes an exemplary mechanism. I thank the civil servants who work with all their hearts. I congratulate you for making our 248 representative offices with our flag flying a safe haven.
Our fight is not over. It seems that the disease will affect our lives for a time. Recently, we see that the number of patients and deaths has reached disturbing proportions. We try to carry out the process within the framework of our own policies. We act considering all the interests of 83 million. I think we will get through this process by following the cleaning, mask and distance rules.
“WE ARE A NEW DISTANCE”
With the epidemic, we see that the world is reaching a new crossroads. Inertia in international organizations has become even more pronounced during the epidemic process. The current global system that protects the strong instead of the right and the minority instead of the majority cannot continue. We express this bitter truth from the UN podium in Turkey. We say that a new structure based on justice rather than power is needed. Even getting distant now began to support the thesis of Turkey. We will strive to increase the effectiveness of multinational structures such as the OCI, the Turkic Council and the D8.
At this critical juncture in Turkey’s history, from the capital, the advantages that arise from its strategic location over the next steps depend on how we use it today. We are determined not to make new regrets to our country and nation. We are working to make it one of the fundamental wills of the new era. We always set the point of the compass on the rights and laws of our nation. We defend our national interests. We cut our bellies in a scene where deep-rooted alliance collaborations are sacrificed to terror.
THE PROBLEM OF REFUGEES AND THE FIGHT AGAINST TERROR
With the operations in Syria, we not only removed the YPG / PYD and Daesh terrorists from our border, but also ensured the return of 411 thousand Syrians. We host 4.5 million refugees in our country, and we care about the same number in Syria. There is no similar country in the world. Only Turkey is doing it. The representatives of this capitalist economy have not taken such a step. Turkey has taken this step as a man and with a conscience. The European Union, as well as Turkey, hope to escape itself for a moment before strategic blindness. We also continue our efforts for the territorial integrity of Syria. We broke the backs of the separatist terrorist organization during operations in Iraq. The support we provided in Libya prevented the country from being dragged into a civil war. Despite provocations from Greece and southern Cyprus, we have always behaved well in the eastern Mediterranean. We never run from the negotiating table. It should be understood that the language of threat, blackmail, will not bring any benefit. Our conference proposal is the manifestation of our desire to solve the problem through dialogue.
VICTORIA SHUŞA OF AZERBAIJAN
Turkey must not only protect its own interests, it must also be able to defend the law of friendly and brotherly countries. Those in trouble have taken refuge in our first country. We could not remain silent and we did not keep silent about the occupation of Azerbaijani lands, where we share the motto of one nation and two states. Now we are in Afghanistan, now we are in Azerbaijan. These are our brothers and sisters. Faced with 28 years of persecution by Armenia, the people of Minsk-3 made our Azerbaijani brothers ‘aunt’ by all means. We did not find a solution for these 28 years of brutal occupation, the Minsk-3s did not always stagnate. When we talked to them, we never came up with a solution. They had no trouble finding solutions. Now our Azeri brothers cut their bellies and finished the job. With tears in our eyes, we looked at the statements of our brother Ilham Aliyev yesterday after the fall of Shusha. This is the love of two states being one nation. Our joy and hopes have increased with the rescue of Shusha from the occupation yesterday. The banner of struggle will not descend until the occupation in Nagorno-Karabakh ends.
Islamic hostility
Anti-Islamism is supported at the presidential level. Vicious attacks are being carried out against the Muslim saints. As a country that has sacrificed 50,000 of its citizens to terrorism in 40 years, we do not condone attacks on innocent people. It is of no value to us that those who did not express their pain for dozens of teachers who were martyred by the terror of the PKK house the leaders of the YPG in palaces on red carpets. Turkey is one of the most primitive countries in the fight against terrorism.
We have transformed our peace mediation initiative into a brand. Our Alliance of Civilizations initiative has been institutionalized at the UN. Our diplomats hold high-level positions not only in the UN, but also in NATO, OSCE and UNESCO. Policies toward Africa and Latin America gave way to partnership policies. With the Asia Anew initiative, we are bringing new dynamism to our relations with the countries of the region. The epidemic could not prevent the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. It is not by chance that these achievements are lived in a period in which we have increased the capacity of our Foreign Relations and our technological faith. We have taken historic steps in consular services. We ease the burden on our citizens.
CALL THE AMBASSADORS
In 2023, the centenary of the founding of our Republic, we will celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Your contribution to the realization of vision 2053 and 2071 is important. Our country cannot build its future with the habits of yesteryear. It is inevitable that the state bureaucracy will also change. We have made a major paradigm shift in the last 18 years. We have ordained that the gates of our state approach all the way regardless of ethnicity or political vision. In bureaucracy, we expect a solution-oriented, business-oriented, and people-oriented attitude. An understanding that does not join the public and does not learn the culture of the country in which it is located has no chance of success in today’s world.
