In the framework of the investigation carried out by the Izmir Prosecutor General’s Office against the FETÖ / PDY TAF structure, an arrest decision was issued for 304 people who were found to have contacted the FETÖ imams through of public telephones and prepaid landlines. Teams from the Izmir Police Department and the Gendarmerie Command also began working with the suspects. Although it was determined that among the identified suspects were personnel working in the TRNC and other countries, the teams pressed the button for the operation at 01:00 yesterday. 204 suspects were arrested on the first day of the operation, which was carried out simultaneously in 50 cities based in Izmir. In the continuation of the operation, 46 suspects were also captured and detained.
