In France, Jean-Luc Reitzer, a deputy from the center-right Republican Party (LR), reacted to the invasion of Azerbaijan by Armenia. In his letter to the MPs, Reitzer stated that Armenia has occupied 7 regions in addition to Nagorno-Karabakh which belongs to Azerbaijan since 1994.
“ARMENIA IS RAPED SINCE 1994”
Underlining that the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan has been violated since 1994 according to the news in AA, Reitzer recalled that the 4 relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) condemned this occupation.
“WE DROP CONSEQUENTIAL POSITIONS ON MANY MATTERS”
Stating that France, one of the co-chairs of the Minsk Group of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), should remain neutral on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, Reitzer noted that if France is on the side of either of the two countries will be in a contradictory position on many international issues.
“IT MUST BE RESOLVED IN ACCORDANCE WITH INTERNATIONAL LAW”
Reitzer emphasized that the Nagorno-Karabakh problem must be resolved within the framework of international law and UNSC resolutions.
