Health Minister Fahrettin Koca used the following statements in his statement on his social media account:
I told you yesterday that the BioNTech vaccine agreement is about to be signed. The agreement was signed from 04:30 tonight. According to the agreement, the dose allocated for this year, which was announced by Professor Uğur Şahin, is 550,000 doses.
“AT THE END OF MARCH, 4.5 MILLION VACCINES IN DOSE WILL BE DELIVERED TO OUR COUNTRY”
This amount until the end of the year to Turkey or is expected to arrive in early January. However, until the end of March 4.5 million doses of vaccine will be delivered in our country. With the agreement of the counterpart with our agreement, up to 30 million doses of vaccine will be available under the same conditions.
“The reason for the delay was that the manufacturer did not want to be responsible for problems that could arise from the production of the vaccine. The manufacturer’s responsibility in this regard was understood to be limited to the economic size of the contract. The approval of our citizens to use this vaccine will be obtained.
