After the noon prayer for Muhammed Emin Saraç, a funeral prayer was held at the Fatih Mosque. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also attended the prayer.
Speaking at the funeral, President Erdoğan made the following statements;
First of all, I have met our revered teacher, whom we will see dismissed at this time, from the years of Imam Hatip. From that day until the last day he lived, I visited him from time to time whenever I had the opportunity, and I greatly benefited him during these visits. Of course, our teacher has always led the way in all these Islamic sciences, be it tafsir fiqh sciences or a hadith. He always took the initiative at this point. And our head of religious affairs actually said the words to say, we have always known him well as a muhaddis and a teacher, as stated in the convention. Thank God we are happy to find the opportunity to get to know you up close.
