The increase in occupancy rates at Istanbul dams continues. According to İSKİ data, the occupancy rate at the dams reached 31.39 percent. The increase in dams was 12.23 percent in 13 days. However, Istanbul’s average dam occupancy rate was recorded as the lowest in the last 10 years.
12.23 PERCENT INCREASED IN 13 DAYS
Due to the drought in Istanbul, the dam occupancy rate dropped to 19.16 percent on January 9, 2021. Rising dams water levels continue with snowfall first, followed by rain. Occupancy rates, which hit 30.77 percent on January 20 and 31.04 percent a day later, with the earnings merge, were measured today at 31.39 percent. The increase in dams in 13 days was recorded at 12.23 percent.
EVEN THE LOWEST LEVEL IN THE LAST 10 YEARS
Despite this increase in dam occupancy rates, the measured value was claimed to be the lowest in the last 10 years. Even in 2014, when the great drought hit, the dam’s occupancy rate was 36.05 percent on January 20, 2014, above the current value.
