In Ankara, Kasım Davas, a former member of the State Council and imam of the judiciary and district governors of FETÖ in Trabzon, who was wanted for ‘belonging to an armed terrorist organization’, was arrested and detained as a result of a joint operation by the police and the MİT.
In the joint work of the Organized Crime Branch and MIT, it was determined that the former member of the Council of State and the imam of the judiciary and the Trabzon district governors of FETÖ, Kasım Davas, were hiding in a luxurious site in the Mutlukent district of Çankaya District. The teams then raided the designated address. During the raid, Kasım Davas was captured and detained at the entrance to his site while trying to escape with his vehicle. In the statement of FETO’s confessor, former Gemlik district governor Cahit Işık, it was stated that Kasım Davas was the imam of the district judges, prosecutors and governors in Trabzon and that he met with them on a monthly basis, and that Kasım Davas was sentenced to 8 years and 9 months in prison.
