1) The Ministry of Health began applying a risk score for the influenza vaccine. Those with certain diseases, those scoring 5 or higher will be eligible for priority vaccination. Why was such a score made?
There is a group in Turkey, but not necessarily the regular flu vaccine, which is currently. Second, there are regular vaccinations (such as diabetics, patients with blood pressure, although not advanced). Third, there are those who should get vaccinated but not go (for example, those with severe diabetes). Here the following problem occurred. Will the flu vaccine be made for those who can find and receive it, or will it be made for those who need it? Turkey has made a selection and planning. We also take criticism into account. But that should not be forgotten, Turkey was sacrificing patients that can be heavy.
2) Has such a score been made in the world?
Although the world does not use this score directly, using different methods, it has determined the people who should be given the priority vaccine.

3) How many people are currently in serious condition?
I guess the group that will suffer from the disease very badly when they encounter COVID and flu is 350 thousand.
4) So you won’t be able to get the vaccine even if you have money now?
You won’t be able to do this this year.
5) Well, although not advanced, diabetic, hypertensive or COPD patients are also at risk. Will these people not be able to get the flu vaccine because they did not pass a 5 on the ‘Charlson Risk Score’?
If we license vaccines from other companies and we take 3.5 million doses of vaccine to the country, which is how the initiatives are, then it can drop 5 points to 3-4. In this case, it is estimated that the group that does not exceed 5 but needs to be vaccinated can be vaccinated in mid-November.

6) Influenza vaccine was recommended to healthcare personnel every year. What will happen this year?

Of course, the most important group here is the medical staff. They are in hospitals all the time and they are in full swing. Since their number exceeds one million, they will also be given priority. For example, those who work in organ transplants and intensive care units will have priority to get vaccinated.
7) How many flu vaccines are currently produced worldwide?
If vaccine manufacturers around the world come together, the flu vaccine that can now be produced is 1.5 billion doses.
8) Turkey is demanding how much flu vaccine?
Until recently, Turkey used 2 million doses of vaccine per year. Due to COVID-19, the demand for the flu vaccine in the fall has increased in every country in the world. Turkey, since April, the flu vaccine is trying to get off the market. However, it is estimated that the demand for the COVID-19 influenza vaccine will be 12 million in our country this year.
9) How many million doses of vaccine can be brought into the country during this period?
The Ministry of Health is trying to take the country’s licensed but unauthorized vaccine in Turkey. It would take 2 years to license it if we were in a normal time, but now this period will decrease and I believe that around 3.5 million doses of vaccine will be brought to the country in mid-November.
10) Why does Turkey not produce the influenza vaccine?
Turkey has now entered feverish vaccine-related work, seriously trying to divert resources. It can reach its capacity in two years to produce a flu vaccine.
AHESEN PRESIDENT ÖZER: ‘GET ONLY ONE TIME WITHOUT A PRESCRIPTION’

Citizens will be able to know their risk situations from the e-pulse system and the vaccine will be able to be written in ‘My prescription system’. Manual recipes will not be processed. With the pharmacy entering the prescription in the My Prescription System, the right to obtain vaccines in the Pharmaceutical Track and Trace System (ITS) will be created. Noting that patients may have to travel between pharmacies and their doctors due to the need for a prescription, Dr. Gürsel Özer suggested that the special vaccine be administered without a prescription for once: “The citizen who cannot get the vaccine that day you will have to go to the doctor again and again if the prescription date expires. During the pandemic period, chronic drug users reported were able to take their medications with their electronic pulse reports so they would not go to the hospital. Most of them are high risk patients. The same can be done with a single flu shot. This vaccine does not have the ability to protect from COVID to protect against the flu. However, if a patient has COVID and flu together, the risk of death increases, so this is a measure taken against the risk of experiencing two infections together. ”
WHICH DISEASE IS HOW MUCH?
Ministry of Health, brought to Turkey 1 million 350 thousand flu vaccines make a list of what can be released from the electronic pulse. Those who log in and click the orange button will be able to find out if they can get vaccinated. Consequently, those who are in the risk group will be able to get vaccinated without paying any cost.
PRICE 72.64 TL
However, if the citizen is not a member of SSI and is in the risk group, the family doctor will prescribe the vaccine for a fee of TL 72.64. The Charlson risk score will be applied to citizens who get vaccinated. Based on this score, those who achieve 5 or more points will be vaccinated in the first stage.
Who will do it?
For example, only heart disease cannot be vaccinated. However, if you have diabetes and heart and moderate or severe liver disease, you will be eligible for the vaccine. Patients with moderate liver disease and diabetes or simply AIDS patients can also be vaccinated.
Citizens who have any of the diseases such as diabetes, blood pressure, liver, dementia, heart failure, leukemia, lymphoma will not be able to get a flu vaccine if the disease is not very advanced.
According to the Charlson Risk Score, those over 65 cannot be vaccinated with this score only if they do not have a chronic disease.
