The Ministry of Health issued a written statement after the Scientific Committee meeting. The latest events related to the epidemic were said to have been discussed at the meeting held under the chairmanship of the Minister of Health, Fahrettin Koca.

PASSED TO THE PRODUCTION STAGE
* For the vaccine candidates whose animal experiments have been completed, the opinion that production is close for the other 4 candidates who have started the production phase of the first vaccine in the GMP (Good Manufacturing Procedures) certified facility has made clear in the evaluations.
THE TESTS WILL BE EXTENDED
* The repetition of the study “Detection of social immunity and incidence (incidence)” that we carried out in cooperation with TURKSTAT, determining immunity by measuring antibody levels and re-evaluating the rate of active cases by PCR was discussed as another topic on the agenda of the meeting.
* It has been agreed that repeating the study will be useful to assess the course of the pandemic with clearer lines.
* Our screening policy was also reviewed with members of the Scientific Committee. It was agreed to expand the tests and to further increase the number of tests, except in cases of suspected contact.
