WHEN WERE THE EXAMS CANCELED?
National Education Minister Ziya Selçuk announced the decision, which clarified the question of when exams will be held in schools and whether report cards will be distributed, on his social media account:
Dear students,
We should not burden you with the training, the course topics; We give you to train you with knowledge and prepare you for the future in an equipped way. Tests are also done to measure how much this information is getting and to assess the situation. The exam has no other purpose. If you have a learning loss today and we don’t realize it, these deficiencies will appear throughout your life.
EXAMINATIONS POSTPONED DECISION FOR CARDS ANNOUNCED
This year we are going through an extraordinary process, the process is changing rapidly; decisions are made based on lengthy evaluations. In line with the recommendations of the Scientific Committee and the evaluations of our Ministry of Health, we have reconsidered the subject of the face-to-face exam, with the decision we made, our primary and secondary students will receive their report cards based on their participation points in course activities this term. We will determine the grades of our high school students in the first period through face-to-face tests in the second period.
