The incident took place around 00:00 on Keskin Street in the Erenler district. Veysel Özkan arrived at the house where his wife, Serap Özkan, whom he was divorcing, wanted to speak. An argument broke out between the couple who spoke for a while in the living room of the house.
As the debate grew, Veysel Özkan opened fire on his wife Serap Özkan and then his son Suat Özkan with the shotgun that he brought with him. According to the DHA news; Veysel Öztürk committed suicide, this time shooting himself with a rifle while his mother and son fainted in blood.
Before the news of the neighbors who heard the shots, the 112 of Health Emergencies and police teams arrived at the scene. The health teams determined that 3 people lost their lives in their first examination.
Serap Özkan’s mother, whose name could not be known, was transferred to the hospital after the first intervention at the scene and received treatment. The bodies were taken to the morgue for autopsy after the first examinations at the scene.
