In Greece, a newspaper called Dimokratia included in its headline an article of oath about President Erdogan.

On the front page of the Dimokratia newspaper, where Erdogan’s image was featured, there was a report under the heading “S … go Erdogan.”

In the detail of the news, “How should Greece respond to the schizophrenic demands of the Sultan?” expression was used.

ÇAVUŞOĞLU: SHOULD NOT BE REDUCED TO THIS LEVEL

Following the newspaper’s news, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said: “The Greek newspaper made a despicable headline. We summoned the Greek ambassador to the ministry ”.

Making a statement on the matter on TRT Haber, Çavuşoğlu used the following statements:

* There are more and more criticisms, we are upset. It may be within the framework of freedom of the press. But insult and oath should not be evaluated in the context of freedom of the press. Today we consider positive the statement made by the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

* They forcefully said that this has nothing to do with freedom of the press and condemned it. If you are not reconciled to freedom of the press, then it is your responsibility to do what is legally required.

* Our Communications Department is already carrying out the necessary initiatives and studies. We also consult them on the situation. But no matter what angle you look at, this level should not be lowered.

* Essentially Greece to take a positive step on the matter so far with Turkey on many issues or the reason for the lack of courageous press is reflecting the sentiment in the public and in public opinion. I have seen him for 20 years in my different roles. Unfortunately that’s the level. But of course, we will do the necessary procedures for it.
