TÜRGEV has become the most important brand in our country in the field of education from preschool to university. I believe that all who support the performance of these services will benefit from the resulting moral income.
It is a truly proud work with its philosophical background, architecture and equipment. This complex, which includes all the activities our students will need in their lessons and extracurricular activities, was built with the inspiration of Mimar Sinan.
I believe that undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students will open new doors in the field of social sciences in our country in this environment. Although very little time has passed since it began its activities, our university shows that it is worthy of this mission.
Ibn Haldun, named after our university, is accepted as the founder of the science of sociology in the world. Accept this as ümran science. Ibn Khaldun, who spent time with science and administration in geographies such as Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt, presented these experiences for the benefit of humanity with Muqaddimah. Essentially, this framework also summarizes the values on which Ibn Haldun University was built.
“WE FLASH IN INTELLECTUAL STEAM”
Every event we experience reminds us that it is not possible to grasp the future without understanding the past. If we put aside the political and economic aspects and look at it only from the scientific side, the Western world has been inspired by our roots. We try to find our way and direction on the basis of its derivatives, forgetting or excluding our own roots. We are struggling in an intellectual crisis. The basis of these discussions between the Ottomans and the Republic of our country has been where to look for our future.
As a country and nation, we are in an uncontrolled storm of westernization. It is the greatest loss that the path he charted to raise generations with free mind, free thought and conscience has become a western imitation. Political, economic, military Turkey, as the last period in which it regained self-confidence, is also on the foot of fairer conditions that allow this type of discussion. You know the difference between being able to be government and being able to be power. We know well that real power is intellectual power. The path of intellectual power, beginning with individuals and spreading throughout society, is a difficult and laborious process. I feel sad about this. I believe that we have achieved historical monuments and services in all fields in 18 years and have not made the progress we want in education and culture.

We have a young population but we cannot realize our vision of civilization. Our media does not reflect our voices and breaths. We face similar problems in science, art and culture. We cannot explain ourselves to the world. Therefore, I believe that we have not yet been able to establish our intellectual power. No one should be bothered by this search.
Imitation means to enter after the present. What we need is innovation that is inspired by tradition. We know that it is not possible to act otherwise in today’s world where communication channels have developed so much. In our day to day, there is nothing like leaving the car and seeing the horse as a means of transport. Our problem is our search. I believe that we cannot build a better civilization for ourselves by pursuing the dominant intellectual understanding and real order in the world. Our only indispensable are the paths of our faith. Everything else can be reinterpreted and produced. We will not turn our backs on the thousands of years of accumulation of humanity, our nation and beliefs, nor will we reject the possibilities of the modern world. Humanity is an entity that regenerates itself sometimes for good and sometimes for bad. We seek to be a manufacturer in the intellectual field as in all fields.
Turkey dryly coupled with the obsession with westernization is a host of perverted ideologies and movements that have been exposed to poison the country. The reason why we lose our intellectual power to a civilization that does not belong to us is that these evil currents are consciously opened. The effort to raise an amorphous generation has been quite costly. Behind the many tears and pain we shed is the idea of a reaction that we have been subjected to for generations. What we have to do is create suitable generations for our unity of civilization.

The main idea of Turkey’s vision for 2053 should create this vision. The educational system of our country from the past to the present is based on carrying material information to our children. The training part has been neglected. Although the power of traditional education diminished with the influence of the mass media, a new one could not be introduced. Minds are full of popular culture and perverted delusions. Our priority is to properly raise our children, starting with the family. This requires a total reform of education and training. All we need is to train people who know their values well and protect their culture and history. There is no need to worry about other matters. There is enough educational life to have them.
