If approved by the United States Senate, Janet Yellen will be ‘No. 1 ‘of Biden in economics, making history as the first woman to hold that position.
Jellen made the following statement on her Twitter account after the news was announced:

ECONOMIC CONSTRUCTIONS AS FOLLOWS:
Neera Tanden will be named director of the Office of Management and Budget, said the team managing Joe Biden’s transition process.
Adewale “Wally” Adeyemo is among Biden’s nominated names. Adeyemo, who was nominated for the Deputy Treasury Department, will be the first black to hold this position if he gets Senate approval.
Biden has announced that he will appoint several years of consultants, Jared Bernstein and Heather Boushey, as members of the Economic Advisory Council.

It was also announced that Biden, who will appear in the White House on January 20 as the 46th president of the United States, has chosen Cecilia Rouse as the chair of the Council of Economic Advisers.
