Some of Kadriye’s strawberry greenhouses are completely submerged in water. Banana greenhouses on the Serik-Belek highway were flooded in the district where the rain continued throughout the night.
While growers who could not enter the greenhouses with banana seedlings expected the rain to lose its effect, the water level of the Acısu stream that passes through Belek rose significantly with the rainwater. Rain was said to continue in the region and there was a risk of flooding in Acısu Creek.
Striking the lightning, the palm tree burned
Flooding occurred at many points in the center of Antalya city, where the rain continued. The floods were also reflected on cell phone cameras. Images of the palm tree burning after a lightning strike, as well as the sunken vehicle, were shared on social media. Again, the moments when the floodwaters washed away plastic water tanks and the moment of walking with a market umbrella used by a person to protect themselves from the rain were reflected in the images. Floods in homes and farmland were also among the images.

214 INTERVENTIONS WERE RESCUE, 26 PEOPLE RESCUE
On the other hand, it was indicated that firefighters affiliated with the Metropolitan Municipality of Antalya intervened in 214 floods with a workforce of 150 in the last 24 hours. It was recorded that in areas where the water evacuation processes continue, 26 people were rescued who were trapped in the water.
LAST MINUTE EXPLANATION OF THE GOVERNOR OF IZMIR
Izmir Governor Yavuz Selim Köşger made the following statements in his statement on the latest situation in the region:
We hope they stepped aside and survived. 25 people from the Menderes police, 10 from the gendarmerie, 10 from Izmir’s underwater security teams, our friends from AFAD and other fire brigade units continue their search and control activities.

TWO LOST PEOPLE WANTED
As a result of the light commercial vehicle attempting to cross the stream in İzmir’s Menderes district, two of the five people in the vehicle disappeared.
A light commercial vehicle trying to cross the stream in Çakallar district between Dereköy district and Görece district was caught in the waters of the stream, the flow of which increased due to the rain.
After informing the survivors of the vehicle, many teams that came to the scene, began search and rescue work. Although the vehicle was located approximately 800 meters from the scene, crews stopped their search when conditions became difficult.
Search and rescue efforts resumed early in the morning.
WARNING TO THE MUNICIPALITY WITH SIREN VOICES
The fire departments of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality warned citizens to rescue their vehicles by sounding a siren. With the sound of the siren, many people ran towards their vehicles and tried to avoid possible damage.
