President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will chair the cabinet meeting at the Presidential Complex. The meeting is scheduled to start at 3.30 pm.

MAIN AGENDA: CORONAVIRUS

In the written statement made after the Scientific Committee meeting, it was emphasized that a recommendation decision was made to implement concrete measures to prevent the spread of the virus.

The statement said: “It was pointed out that the main factor in the increase in cases is human mobility and the presence of collective spaces, and the restrictive measures to be taken were discussed in detail. It was decided to recommend the implementation of concrete measures to prevent the spread of the illness”.

At the Cabinet Meeting to be held today, new measures to address this issue will be added to the agenda. In this context, a series of measures such as postponement of the opening of schools and restrictions on collective spaces are on the agenda.

DEVELOPMENTS IN AZERBAIJAN

On the other hand, a ceasefire was declared within the framework of the agreement reached between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and Armenia would cede the occupied territories to Azerbaijan. Turkey would send troops to the region to undertake Russia’s observation mission. These developments are expected to be evaluated at the Cabinet Meeting.
