“THE SEARCH AND RESCUE WORKS CONTINUE IN ALL THE PROVINCES”
The Minister of the Environment and Urban Planning, Murat Kurum, stated that after the 6.6 magnitude earthquake that occurred in the Seferihisar district facing the Aegean Sea at 2:51 p.m. today, a total of 114 aftershocks occurred, 4 and more than 21. The institution said the following;
* This earthquake was also felt in Çanakkale, Manisa, Muğla, Aydın. Search and rescue activities are currently continuing in all provinces. Any problem, problem in other provinces has not come for now.
* Our teams work intensively in İzmir Bornova, Bayraklı and Karşıyaka. For now, we have 17 remains and we have citizens under the remains. 12 of our citizens lost their lives. We have 522 injured citizens.
* All necessary interventions are carried out to our injured citizens in hospitals. 8 of our citizens were in intensive care and 5 in surgery. The necessary intervention is carried out.
Reporting that 4 buildings completely collapsed, the Authority announced that 1,227 search and rescue teams are working in the field.

Agriculture and Forestry Minister Bekir Pakdemirli said the following;

* Meteorologically, we especially analyze the rainfall situation in Izmir. No rain is expected in Izmir and its surroundings within 5 days in Izmir for almost a week. It will be a plus for citizens who do not want to enter their home. The lowest expected temperature at night is between 8 and 11 degrees. The expected daytime temperature is between 19 and 22 degrees.
