25 of the 39 people arrested in the bribery operation, including 11 agents working in the Küçükçekmece Property Registration Directorate, detained simultaneously in three Istanbul-based provinces, were detained.
After teams from the Istanbul Financial Crimes Sub-Directorate Directorate determined that some officials working at the Küçükçekmece Property Registry Office were providing economic benefits in exchange for deed transactions and accelerating deed transactions, they were arrested on January 22 as part of a simultaneous operation in Istanbul, Kayseri and Manisa. The police operations of 39 suspects were completed, including the officer.
Three of those who were sent to court after their performance at the police station were released after their statements, while 25 were detained by the court to which they were transferred.
The other 11 suspects were released under the condition of judicial control.
